I have a PhD in pediatrics and a MSc in biochemistry from the University of Turku. After my graduation I found it difficult to find work in Turku. Now I work remotely at the University of Helsinki studying the effects of chemical exposure on children’s development. Previously, I studied autoimmune diseases in children at TYKS and the University of Turku. I still live in Turku and my goal is to make it easier for everyone, especially those with special skills, to find work in Turku.
I am also running in the county elections because I want to defend public social and healthcare services, as well as non-governmental organizations and small businesses in the sector. I live in Turku and serve as the chairperson of the Greens of Science and Technology in Southwest Finland. I work as a researcher and have studied topics such as vitamin D, childhood autoimmune diseases, endocrine-disrupting chemicals, as well as behavioral traits and mental health of children, and I believe I have a lot to give in decision making regarding health issues. Prevention of problems must be prioritized, and services must be accessible to everyone, offering digital services for those who want them, but also providing other convenient options. Help must be available quickly, as otherwise, suffering increases and costs rise. Effective everyday services support both physical and mental well-being!
